Motorcycle Loans
Is the open road calling you?

Motorcycles are great transportation as anyone who has ever ridden can attest. Buying a new, used, or custom motorcycle is no different than purchasing a car in most respects. However, if this is your first bike it´s a good idea to ponder purchasing a good used bike while you´re getting used to this mode of transportation. Inevitably you´ll take a spill or two or drop the bike and guess what? There will be dings and dents that require repair so—temporarily at least—you may want to consider a smaller loan initially for a used bike to free up a little cash to cover minor repairs.

According to experienced riders, if you are new to motorcycling, the following is good advice:

  • Sign up with the Motorcycle Safety Foundation for their training classes.
  • Hold off buying a bike until AFTER you take the training classes. Often as a byproduct of the training, you´ll get a better perspective of the style and type of bike that will suit you best.
  • Buy a good, used bike with as little plastic on it as possible. Look for engine guards to protect the engine.
